Hello my lovely readers π How’s everything going?
Today I want to share with you how I do my GEL nails at home for a very low price. It’s quite easy to do and they last up to three weeks.
For doing my nails I decided to purchase the items from Aliexpress. You have to be very careful with the items that you buy in Aliexpress, but I read several reviews and I didn’t find anything wrong with them.
I bought this small lamp of 12W from Aliexpress, its price was only 3β¬. I bought it because it’s very small and I can keep it anywhere. There are also bigger ones, with more power, that will take less time to dry your nails. I also bought this three nailpolish: a basecoat, a topcoat and a nailcolour. The price of each nailpolish is 80 cents.
First of course you have to take care of your cuticles. Then using rubbing alcohol and cloth, clean the surface of the nail. Then you have to buff a bit the nails. You have to be very careful in this step, because if you buff too much your nails are going to suffer. This step is to remove any grease the surface of the nail may have, it’s better if you only do it in one way (either from left to right or the other way around). Then with a brush remove the dust and apply alcohol again.
Apply an extremely thin layer of the base coat gel polish onto your nails, then cure under the lamp for two minutes. Be very careful in this step not ti touch any of the skin, because if you do, when you cure it it’s going to burn. Remember to paint the edge of the nail.
Then apply two thin layers of nail polish. I like to cure each of the layers for two minutes. Remember to paint the edge of the nail.
Finally we apply the top coat and cure it for two minutes. If you don’t want to do so many steps, there are also one step nail polish that doesn’t need base or top coat, but I’ve never tried them. Also if you get a lamp with more power, you will have to cure for less time.Β Finally apply some oil to your cuticles and this is the final result.
Usually it lasts me up to three weeks. This is how it looked after one and two weeks.
Do you usually get your nails done? Have you ever tried doing gel nails at home? What’s your favourite nail polish brand?
xoxo Darly

how do you remove the polish? I have tried “at home” removal systems before that didn’t work very well , this system looks amazing to do at home,

OMG I forgot to mention thatπ π I buff the nail polish, I soak them in acetone and pushing with a stick it comes out

No worries … Oh ok , I just tried wrapping them in acetone and cotton and didnβt work as well as in the salon… not sure what I did wrong , but I like your idea better

That is what I do, it’s important to file the nail polish a bit, so the acetone is able to penetrate
