Summer make up

Hello my lovely readers πŸ™‚ How’s everything going?

Today I wanted to share with you a Summer inspired make up look. I think it’s perfect for Summer because it’s a bronzed look with waterproof products and a pop of colour.

I started by getting my skin ready for make up. First I applied my Nivea moisturising for mixed skin, then in my eye’s contour I used the Cien caviar eye cream and for my lips I applied the Maybelline baby lips. I realised this previous steps helps my make up to last longer plus it looks more natural.

First step: Skin

I applied my the Bourjois 123 perfect CC cream in the colour light beige only in the areas I needed to cover imperfections. This CC cream really helps to hide my redness and imperfections without being too heavy, since in Summer the last thing you want is a heavy make up. I also like the fact that it has SPF 15, which is the minimum you should wear on Summer. If I still have some imperfections that haven’t been coveredΒ I use a bit of my DeliplusΒ concealer.

Then with the powder brush from the picture and the Savvy mineral baked bronzer in the colour radiance I contour my face applying it on my jaw line, right under my cheeks, on my the top of my front and temples. To add extra warmth to the face I apply a little bit on my nose where my freckles naturally appear.Β With the same brush I put that beautiful light pink blush on my apple cheeks.

SecondΒ step: Eyeshadows

In order to keep that bronzed look I’m going to use the same bronzer as before on my eye crease. I’m going to use the brush of the picture first to apply the bronzer and after to blend everything together.Β I’m not a huge spender so I didn’t have a blending brush until two months ago, now I’ve discovered the secret of a really nice eye make up: blending.

Finally I apply the vanilla colour from the trio on my eye lid and inter corner of my eye in order to brighten the look, and the soft pink under my eyebrows.

Third step: Eyeliner and Rimmel

InΒ Summer the make up tends to last less, that’s why I like to use waterproof products.Β For my eyeliner I’m going to use the Essence waterproof eyeliner pen. This is the way I create the cat eye effect: First I draw a very thin line on my top lashes , I do a flick the side of my eye, pointing towards the end of my eyebrow, and I join it with the previous line.

On my water line I like to apply a light colour in order to make the eye look bigger, here I’m using a white kajal pencil from Essence. Finally I apply two coats of mascara on my top and bottom lashes. I’m using the Essence waterproof get big lashes mascara,Β I really like the thick brush of this mascara.

Last step: Pop of colour

For my lips I decided to wear the Maybelline colour drama lip pencil in the colour Fuchsia Desire, which is a really bright pink. First I outline the lips and then I filled them in.Β I also decided to add a touch of colour to my eyes using a blue greenish eye liner in the inner corner of my eyes. I really like the extra fun that the colours give to the look without being excessive.

I hope you liked this look and if you try it at home you can share you results with me through instagram or twitter, I’d love to see them. Anyway you should always remember thatΒ there isn’t a better make up look than you own smile, so try to wear it most of the time.

What is you favourite Summer make up look? Do you have any make up trick?

xoxo Darly
